I was inspired by a concept painting that I saw in Weta Digitals 'The Art of TinTin' book. I was curious to see how the palace would have looked had it made it into 3d for the film, although it did in a way it was just adapted from this sketch. I was very happy with the end result and I feel that the Ambient Occlusion layer really helped the image to pop out and show off the rich colours. This image took 40 hours to produce and was made with 3DS Max and Photoshop. It was completed in April 2012.
